In 1969 the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum became Meredith Monk’s stage for Juice: A Theatre Cantata, a groundbreaking work by the young singer/composer/choreographer.

Forty years after that historic occasion, Monk returns to the Guggenheim Museum for a special performance, Ascension Variations.

Ascension Variations will be performed by:
Meredith Monk & Vocal Ensemble: David Cossin, Ellen Fisher, Katie Geissinger, Ching Gonzalez, Bohdan Hilash, Meredith Monk, Bruce Rameker, and Allison Sniffin with the Todd Reynolds Quartet, the Stonewall Chorale, Montclair State University Chorale and a cast of over twenty dancers.
